These gorgeous brown boys arrived our farm June 2007

Hopefully spring 2008 we will have little lambs, the first ones ever born in our state!

wool

Wensleydale fiber is absolutely beautiful and soft as a silk!

wool

Wensleydale wool is the finest and most valuable luster longwool in the world!

Fleeces are entirely kemp free as a result of the unique characteristics of the wool-producing follicles.

Our sheep (and Angora Goats) are also part of
the Voluntary Scrapie Flock Certification Program

Scrapie is a fatal, degenerative disease affecting the central nervous system of sheep and goats.
It is among a number of diseases classified as transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE).
Infected flocks that contain a high percentage of susceptible animals can experience significant production losses.
Over a period of several years the number of infected animals increases, and the age
at onset of clinical signs decreases making these flocks economically unviable.
Animals sold from infected flocks spread scrapie to other flocks.
