All my Armatures are Made of sturdy artist wire
and covered with a flexible rubber type of material,
which complete covers the metal wire without making
the armature bulky, like the tape would do.
Also, this new cover material does not peal off
if you have to correct your sculpt and take some clay off.
One other good reason to cover armature is that even the cleanest
bare metal wire, always leaves some residue into your hands and
then, because of that, your clay will come easily dirty too.
Arms and legs have been left little longer than would be
anatomically correct, so you will have several different options
to cut and bend them as you wish and as your project demands.
Color of the taped armatures is natural white.
Please note that a measurement, for example: 3"-4" means that
the actual armature is 3"-4" tall and the doll will be from
3.5" to 4.5" tall depending how you will sculpt it.
For example, some artists like longer legs than others and so on...

has been built over my sturdy mushroom armature !
Alienna (left) is approx. 20" tall soft sculpture,
and Oriona (right) is a polymer clay/mixed media fairy.
